The Folsom Bike Jr. MTB Program is focused on our next generation of mountain bikers. It does not matter if you are brand new or if you have been riding a mountain bike since you were 3, riders between the ages of 8 and 14 years old are invited to participate. We’ll have skills practice and ride the trails near Folsom Lake. Even if you have participated in this program before, we promise there is still more to learn and our curriculum will continue to help you build your skills toward whatever mountain bike goals you have!

Details: Spring season practices will be on Monday evenings starting March 12th through May 14th with the exception of March 26th, when there will be no practice due to Spring Break, and April 30th. Practices will run from 5:00pm - 6:30pm. All practices will be approximately 90 minutes long and include skills, drills and a ride. Our skills practices and rides will be tailored to riders’ abilities – giving younger/newer riders step-by-step direction on certain skills and providing more challenging drills and obstacles for the more experienced riders. All riders need to have a mountain bike in good working condition, a helmet, and clothing appropriate for mountain biking.
